March Village Rep meeting
Village Rep Chair report -
- reminded rules in light of spring break ongoing - pools, as posted, carts (2 or 4 passengers, depending on the cart)/along with registered drivers, dining room attire at the clubhouse,
- St. Pat's decorations should be taken down (done by our village already - thanks Brad)
- noted that there will be feedback forthcoming on using holiday flags vs. decorations. - my understanding is that flag configurations/dimensions will be defined.
- Ongoing - advised on feedback from the Common Grounds committee - two primary issues seen by the Common Grounds committee are
- trees overhanging roads - the trees must be 15' high to accommodate rescue vehicle traffic and
- mailbox post repair/maintenance. Agreed: a form will be used later this year (likely fall) to pilot a new feedback/action required process with the homeowner/resident. A letter will be placed in your mail tube, followed by communications with Village and Regional Village Reps for awareness
New Board of Directors Chair report - some points of focus:
- 1) Fiber optics for internet vs. existing cable system - the current contract with Spectrum is 2 years out from ending, for fiber optics to be installed in TP, there will be a minimum of 18 months required for installation/implementation. Current lead company for the fiber optics is Hotwire Communications. The board has been informed that Hotwire will make themselves available to the TP community (in home) to support the updates required across applications etc.
- 2) Several committee positions are available, ie. internal audit, architecture, common grounds to name a few.
- 3) Budget committee actively working on next year's budget - Apr 21st presentation to Village Reps, Apr 28th to TP residents (at the PAC/2pm)
General Mgr report - most items are already included in the Friday Flash - but for your reference;
- 1) Lodge permitting is still ongoing
- 2) Follow-up with Florida DOT regarding work on 19 outside of TP - request will be made for schedule details so this information may be relayed onto residents
- 3) Interior walls (outdoor perimeter of TP) have been painted and cleaned
- 4) Common grounds are now being updated with new plants and flowers due to the freezes earlier this year.
- 5) Reclaimed water was shutdown by Hernando County for 2 weeks - During that time, TP wells were used for common grounds
Elections
Bill Kelly will be staying on as Vice Chair.
